With just a little bit of study and practice, you’ll come to automatically know the differences. For instance, business casual means wearing a button-down shirt and khakis  . Dressing properly for the occasion is a fine art and can sometimes require some guess and check, but it goes a long way to at least seem like you’ve got the right idea.
